    Description

    Position Summary
    1. ExaminationsPerforms routine procedures in MRI on a scheduled and emergency basis.Reviews and evaluates requisitions for MR imaging procedures, abstracting data from patient charts and determining appropriateness of procedure prescribed given diagnosis and clinical signs for routine examinations.Identify patients according to Hospital Policy with 2 identifiers.Selects appropriate equipment and technical parameters to identify pathologic and normal anatomy.Assesses patients' and parents' physical and emotional status and ability to respond to instructions and develop a care plan for that patients' specific needs.Explain the examination and is able to answer questions from patient and parents regarding the exam and Magnetic field environment.Follows MR QC Exam/Data Integrity workflow expectations.Practices High Reliability Training.Consistently provides exceptional care and exceptional service. 2. Patient/Family RelationsResponds to the uniqueness of the patient, creating a supportive environment for the patient and the family. 3. EquipmentIdentifies and reports equipment malfunctions through the INeedit application. 4. OperationsAssists in organizing and maintaining daily operations. 5. GeneralParticipates in departmental and hospital meetings.Complies with ETU.Complies with HIPPA regulations.Practices the BCH 6 Core Values: excellence, innovation, communication, respect, teamwork and accountability. 6. Professional DevelopmentCompletes all required competencies and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.Maintains up-to-date licensure/certification/registration in departmental file.Furthers professional education and maintains knowledge of current regulations and standards, policies and procedures.
