Position Overview

Department: Outpatient Physical Therapy

Schedule: Day/Evening shifts, 8 hours, Monday to Friday

Facility: Orthopedic Center

Location: Auburn, ME 04210

Key Responsibilities

Deliver medically prescribed physical therapy services aimed at evaluating, treating, and restoring function, enhancing mobility, alleviating pain, and preventing disabilities. Provide patient-centered care in line with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and evidence-based practices.

  • Conduct patient evaluations and physical therapy assessments.
  • Design and implement tailored treatment plans.
  • Administer therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation and functional enhancement.
  • Track patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and recovery objectives.
  • Accurately document evaluations, treatments, and patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, licensing, and patient safety standards.
Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Training:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, Doctorate, or Certificate in Physical Therapy.
  • Valid state Physical Therapy license.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification from AHA upon hire, with maintenance required.
