Description
Work Schedule: Per Diem PA in OTP Methadone Clinic: Mondays, Fridays and/or Saturdays.
Per Diem Hourly Rate: $125.00
Description
Perform Medical Procedures and Provide Regular Medical Services as Required for Assigned Clients
Physical examinations with appropriate referrals to Health Services and/or specialists.
Modify prescribed methadone dosage take home schedule with recommendations to Medical Doctor.
Follow-up evaluation at weekly intervals for the first two weeks after admission to assess how well the client has adjusted to dosage and whether there is any evidence of drug idiosyncrasies or patient abuse.
Medical documentation which includes but is not limited to the following:
Medical and mental health histories
Medication: current and past
Physical findings
Medical and mental health diagnoses
Referrals to specialists
Laboratory orders and findings
Electrocardiograms
Diagnostic procedures including imaging studies
Surgical histories
Family histories
Social and substance use histories
Related psychosocial information
Other medical and mental health information as pertinent
Maintain logs as required
Performing or supervising the performance of blood testing with review of results obtained.
Attend to concerning clinical and medical issues during client care
Make recommendations for changing pick-up schedule but final action will be the responsibility of the Medical Director who will confer with administration and Nursing staff.
Maintain good working relationships with all staff, clients and visitors.
The P.A. is clinically supervised by the Medical Director and administratively responsible to the OTP Practice Administrator
All other duties as assigned by the Medical Director and may take directions from other Department Administration
Perform Medical Procedures and Provide Regular Medical Services as Required For Assigned Clients
Attend mandatory in-service annually.
Participate in various committees and meetings as requested.
Attend seminars to further professional development.

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Current Physician Assistant License in the State of New York issued by the Bureau of Licensing - NYS DOE. Maintain current certification.
· DEA License
· CPR/BLS/AED
· Infection Control
· Mandated Reporter
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
