Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our New Jersey team remotely, providing vital mental health services to clients in the area. In this role, you will deliver evidence-based psychotherapy and counseling tailored to diverse populations, including adolescents, and adults. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs.
- Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, behavior management, and psychodynamic therapy.
- Provide individual, group, therapy, family counseling, and specialized interventions like grief counseling, addiction counseling, and chronic pain counseling via telehealth platforms.
- Utilize clinical documentation standards to accurately record patient care activities within EMR/EHR systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical ethical guidelines.
- Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to support clients experiencing acute mental health episodes or co-occurring disorders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, case managers, medical professionals, and special education staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain ongoing professional development by staying current with research, medical terminology updates, ICD coding changes, and telehealth best practices.
Skills
- Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, behavioral therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, or CPT coding.
- Strong knowledge of mental health assessments, treatment planning, case management, and clinical documentation standards.
- Expertise in working with families, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Geriatrics, and those with co-occurring disorders.
- Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques and crisis management strategies for diverse populations.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and experience delivering clinical counseling remotely using HIPAA-compliant technology.
- Ability to conduct intake assessments effectively while adhering to clinical ethical guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills for client engagement and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
