Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our New Jersey team remotely, providing vital mental health services to clients in the area. In this role, you will deliver evidence-based psychotherapy and counseling tailored to diverse populations, including adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help individuals navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their personal goals. This position offers the flexibility of remote work while maintaining high standards of clinical care and ethical practice. The ideal candidate is energetic, motivated, and committed to making a positive impact on clients’ lives through innovative therapeutic approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, behavior management, and psychodynamic therapy.
  • Provide individual, group, therapy, family counseling, and specialized interventions like grief counseling, addiction counseling, and chronic pain counseling via telehealth platforms.
  • Utilize clinical documentation standards to accurately record patient care activities within EMR/EHR systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical ethical guidelines.
  • Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to support clients experiencing acute mental health episodes or co-occurring disorders.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, case managers, medical professionals, and special education staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain ongoing professional development by staying current with research, medical terminology updates, ICD coding changes, and telehealth best practices.

Skills

  • Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, behavioral therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, or CPT coding.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health assessments, treatment planning, case management, and clinical documentation standards.
  • Expertise in working with families, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Geriatrics, and those with co-occurring disorders.
  • Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques and crisis management strategies for diverse populations.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and experience delivering clinical counseling remotely using HIPAA-compliant technology.
  • Ability to conduct intake assessments effectively while adhering to clinical ethical guidelines.
  • Excellent communication skills for client engagement and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
