Position Details
Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg
Job Type: Per Diem
Location: Abilene, TX
Facility: Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Abilene
Shift: Days or Nights available
Duration: 52 weeks
Hours: 12 hours shift
Break: 30-minute unpaid meal break
Pay Rate:$50.00/hour
REQUIRED: minimum of 2 shifts per month
Responsibilities
Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult Med/Surg patients.
Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.
Requirements
Active TX RN License (or Compact License)
Minimum of 1 year recent Med/Surg experience
minimum of 1 year recent acute (hospital/long-term acute care (LTAC)/in-patient rehab (IRF)) experience
Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
