Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health / Rehabilitation (Per Diem)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a behavioral health and rehabilitation team on a per diem basis. This role provides compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals receiving mental health, psychiatric, and addiction treatment services. Nurses will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery, safety, and wellness during overnight hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in a behavioral health and rehabilitation setting.
• Monitor patient conditions, assess treatment progress, and document care appropriately.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
• Support patients experiencing psychiatric, behavioral, or substance use challenges.
• Respond to emergencies and behavioral health crises as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery goals.

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of New Mexico.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience preferred.
• Previous experience in Behavioral Health, Psychiatry, Substance Abuse Treatment, or Addiction Recovery required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong assessment, communication, and de-escalation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced behavioral health environment.
