What You'll Do

As a Licensed Psychiatrist at SCAC, you will be an integral part of the treatment team, responsible for providing critical psychiatric services that support client recovery. Your key responsibilities include:

• Conducting psychiatric assessments and completing timely written reports.
• Prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications as appropriate.
• Providing follow-up care, evaluating medication efficacy, and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
• Collaborating with medical staff, counselors, clients, and significant others to develop and coordinate personalized recovery plans.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with state, federal, and agency regulations.
• Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and presenting cases as needed to ensure comprehensive client care.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

• A current active psychiatric license to practice in New Jersey
• 3+ years of relevant experience in addiction treatment or mental health services
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
• A valid driver's license

Preferred qualifications: Bilingual skills and familiarity with addiction recovery practices are a plus!
