The X-Ray Technologist performs diagnostic radiologic procedures on patients as ordered by licensed providers. All examinations are conducted in an ethical and professional manner in accordance with hospital policies, departmental procedures, and applicable New York State regulations. This role also supports and assists in all aspects of Radiology Department operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
Must hold current licensure with the New York State Department of Health. Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiographer (R).
Demonstrates sensitivity, professionalism, and compassion when working with apprehensive patients and their families.
Possesses strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with physicians, patients, and multidisciplinary staff.
Ability to think critically and respond efficiently in fast-paced and stressful clinical situations.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire or must be obtained within three (3) months.
