Per Diem Radiology Technologist

Mississippi Valley Surgery Center is seeking a Per Diem Radiology Technologist to provide imaging services in our ambulatory surgery setting. This position is scheduled as needed, with no weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts. You will work closely with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia providers, and other team members to support safe and efficient patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform intraoperative fluoroscopy and diagnostic radiography, including chest radiography, as assigned.
• Set up, position, operate, and perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment.
• Verify patient information and imaging requests before examinations, and communicate discrepancies or safety concerns.
• Obtain and evaluate quality images while minimizing unnecessary radiation exposure.
• Follow radiation safety practices to protect patients, staff, and yourself.
• Position imaging equipment safely in the operating room while protecting the sterile field.
• Complete imaging documentation and manage images and results according to facility procedures.

Qualifications

• Current Radiologic Technologist license or certification applicable to the position.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience with C-arm fluoroscopy in an operating room or procedural setting preferred.
• Ability to work independently, adapt to changing procedural needs, and communicate effectively with the care team.
