Per Diem Substitute Teacher - All Grades and Subjects

Requirements:

1. Certified Teacher: Candidates must possess a valid New Jersey teaching certificate (CE, CEAS, or Standard).

2. Non-Certified Individuals: Applicants must hold a Substitute Teaching Certificate in New Jersey.

3. Criminal History Approval: Candidates must have Criminal History Approval for employment in a New Jersey public school (District code 39) using Service Code Public School Employment 2F1FB1.

4. Health Requirements: A negative result from a Mantoux (Tuberculin) Test is required. New Jersey recommends baseline tuberculosis (TB) testing for all school employees who have contact with students, including full-time and part-time teachers, student teachers, school bus drivers, and volunteers.

5. Identification: Applicants must complete an I-9 Form with the appropriate identification.

Expectations:

• Deliver lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and orderly classroom environment.
• Supervise students and promote appropriate behavior.
• Communicate effectively with school administrators and staff.
• Follow district policies, procedures, and school expectations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal or designee.

Compensation:

Substitute teachers will be compensated as follows:

• $125.00 per day for individuals holding a Substitute Teaching Credential
• $140.00 per day for individuals holding a Standard Teaching Credential
