Performance Improvement Coordinator - Total Quality Management - 40 Hours - Days

Eligible for Full-Time Benefits

Shift: Days 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. No weekends.

GENERAL SUMMARY: Organizes and coordinates performance improvement program activities and workflow.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary team on problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services and systems/ performance measures.

  • Researches, develops/acquires and implements improvement systems, methodologies and tools to improve operations.

  • Collaborates with Leaders to develop and revise screening indicators.

  • Provides on-site training and follow-up for performance improvement teams.

  • Performs regulatory documentation preparation, submission, and maintenance. Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

  • Assists in policy, procedure and contract review process. Coordinates quality improvement initiatives.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

  • Nursing degree highly preferred.

  • 3-5 years of acute care hospital experience.

  • Previous ED or ICU experience a plus.

  • Previous experience, knowledge and understanding of BCBS CQI experience a plus. HMS experience a plus.

  • Previous quality improvement experience and root cause analysis experience a plus

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft office and comfortable with data analysis and presenting to medical staff leaders and administration.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSES REQUIRED:

  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSES PREFERRED:

  • Certification specializing in Lean Healthcare Mgmt. preferred.
