Job Description

Job Summary
The Performance Improvement / Infection Control Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive performance improvement and infection prevention and control programs to ensure high-quality, safe patient care and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develops policies/procedures in conjunction with SCSC Pasadena ICC and monitors compliance with established policies and procedures; can extrapolate policies and procedures to unique situations.

• Develops policies/procedures in conjunction with SCSC Pasadena ICC and monitors compliance with established policies and procedures; can extrapolate policies and procedures to unique situations.

• Communicates and updates hospital staff on current infection control data as necessary.

• Reviews professional literature/guidelines (HICPAC, CDC, APIC, The joint Commission, OSHA, Pasadena Public Health Department, and others

• Reviews microbiology reports and reports unusual occurrences.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor In Healthcare

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years in Performance Improvement

• CPHG/AIPC Certification

• Registered Nurse and /or Epidemiology Experience

Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
