Lead Performance Engineer (Load Runner/Unix/Linux/Windows)

The position of a Lead Performance Engineer is responsible for performance engineering and performance testing of server application (Unix/Linux/Windows) and Web Services. Solid understanding of methodologies, tools, and processes. Identify, isolate and track performance issues. Troubleshoot bottlenecks, related to performance and provide improvement suggestions at application, DB, OS, Hardware and or Network layer. Review functional and technical specifications and create/execute test cases, scripts and Test Plan. Review capacity plans and production usage trends to create suitable usage profile, baseline and breakpoint analysis to ensure acceptable levels of performance. Identify potential problems, omissions and open issues, attend walkthroughs and signoff meetings. Present clear metrics to both technical and non-technical. Own the product from start to finish with minimal supervision.

Required:

• Minimum of 7 years' experience with Performance Testing/Engineering within the Client Server and Web Applications
• 7 years of expert knowledge with Client Load Runner utilizing all available protocols creating and executing scripts
• 7 year of experience working within the Server applications installing/troubleshooting and tuning Unix/Linux/Windows server environments
• Experience analyzing and trending performance issues and reliability of enterprise applications in production-like configuration and articulate test result impacts with stakeholders
• Proficient in creating and executing complex SQL queries (Oracle and MS SQL)
• Comfortable with the OS architecture, Kernel, tuning, Networking, Various Hardware Configs impacting performance of the applications and be able to provide suggestions based on statistics
• Experience with middleware using MQ Series and also WebSphere setup and configuration
• Experience in Test Management/Defect Tracking with the following tools: Client ALM, Clear Quest and SoapUI
• Possess critical thinking, expert project management skills, and exceptionally strong communication skills that can summarize and document performance test results.
