Manage and coordinate the performance test activities for medium to large scale departmental projects. Manage performance testing activities for assigned projects, applications, components. Accountable for the testing quality from start to finish for assigned scope, which includes editing and maintaining test strategies, transformation of test strategies into test plans, write and execute test plans, and the evaluation of test results. Work with the project manager or the project test manager to build and maintain project management and control deliverables, project plans, ops plan, time lines, budget, communication plan, and risk management plans. Prepare and maintains the performance master test plan or assigned components of the master test plan and continuously provide strategic improvement of test management standards and procedures. Plan, organize, direct and execute the test process and manage test releases within assigned scope of responsibility. Define, prepare, monitor and adjust test-level plans and manage scope changes within assigned scope of responsibility. Delegate test activities and monitor compliancy with and applicability of test standards. Additional activities: Create a MPP plan, execute and monitor to it, and create detailed test strategy and plan, review previous performance work and strategy for this application / environment, review and update usage/ analytics if needed including the performance workload model, validate / get test ID access, plan and validate or get data loaded as needed, test / remediate / develop and adjust Vugen scripts, review and update pre-work steps to a successful performance test – including finding all the appropriate owners of the actions, run the Mainframe Job to capture the Mainframe performance markers, execute performance tests in Performance Center, provide analysis, gather input from all others involved and monitoring, hold review meetings, create a final test summary report.
Technical skills needed: Performance Center Client 11 or greater (PC12.55), Vugen, Analysis, server metric analysis, WebSphere metric analysis. Other skills desired: Mainframe user navigation, JCL, Microsoft project plan, Open source performance testing tools such as Fiddler, JMeter or Gatling, Application monitoring tools such as Splunk, experience with Agile, CI/CD, experience with on-prem, cloud, and SAAS solutions, and test automation tools such as Selenium and Jenkins.
