Performance Tester (LoadRunner) - Remote, Washington, DC
Duration: 12 months
Seeking for an Performance Tester to support enterprise-wide performance testing and automation initiatives. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, executing, and analyzing performance tests for complex applications while maintaining performance testing tools and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and execute performance tests using LoadRunner Enterprise.
Simulate hundreds or thousands of concurrent virtual users (Vusers) to evaluate application performance and scalability.
Develop performance test scripts, test scenarios, workload models, and test plans.
Perform load, stress, endurance, scalability, and other performance testing as required.
Support testing across protocols such as HTTP/HTTPS, web services, and other supported protocols.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, including response time, throughput, error rates, transaction performance, and virtual-user behavior.
Analyze test results, reports, and graphs to identify performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
Prepare comprehensive performance test execution and analysis reports.
Provide administrative and technical support for performance testing infrastructure and tools, including ALM, LoadRunner Enterprise, and UFT.
Develop, implement, and maintain enterprise performance testing policies, frameworks, standards, and best practices.
Ensure performance testing processes align with organizational, scalability, quality, and security requirements.
Provide enterprise-wide performance testing and automation support to project teams.
Troubleshoot performance-testing tools, scripts, environments, and execution issues.
Evaluate and recommend new testing tools, technologies, frameworks, and methodologies.
Develop and maintain performance testing and automation training materials.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to QA and cross-functional teams.
Promote continuous improvement and consistent performance testing practices across projects.
Required Qualifications:
Strong hands-on experience with performance testing and performance engineering.
Experience using LoadRunner Enterprise for large-scale performance testing.
Experience developing and maintaining LoadRunner performance test scripts.
Experience simulating large numbers of virtual users (Vusers).
Strong knowledge of performance test planning, workload modeling, execution, analysis, and reporting.
Experience monitoring and analyzing performance metrics such as response time, throughput, and error rates.
Ability to analyze performance reports and graphs and identify application or system bottlenecks.
Experience testing HTTP/HTTPS, web services, or similar protocols.
Experience supporting and maintaining enterprise testing tools and infrastructure.
Knowledge of ALM and UFT.
Experience establishing performance testing frameworks, policies, standards, and best practices.
