Role Overview: The consultant will lead performance engineering initiatives across distributed applications, establishing standards and best practices while driving end-to-end performance testing, analysis, and tuning in a cloud-native, containerized environment.
Responsibilities
Develop performance engineering standards, strategies, and best practices.
Design and execute load, stress, endurance, scalability, and benchmark tests for distributed applications.
Perform deep root-cause analysis using JVM analysis, thread/heap dumps, DB diagnostics, infra monitoring, and observability tooling to resolve bottlenecks.
Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and champion shift-left practices.
Tune and optimize distributed applications running on OpenShift/Kubernetes (or similar platforms).
Lead complex performance investigations and influence app, infra, and architecture decisions.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on expertise in Performance Testing and Engineering (7+ years).
Solid knowledge of Java, APIs, microservices, message queues, containerized apps, and cloud platforms.
