Administrative Services shall be provided by Physician as Medical Director within a triad leadership model to the perioperative service line and anesthesia department. Cast vision and hold providers accountable to mission, vision, and values set, lead strategic operations within the group and hospital, act as a business director for the group. Hospital shall have the right to modify Administrative Services from time to time based on hospitals needs. Physician shall provide Administrative Services at Hospital's request and shall provide Hospital with such supporting documentation as Hospital shall require. It is expected that Physician shall provide a minimum of 416 hours annually in the provision of Administrative Services.
Provide leadership to physicians and operating room staff, promote a collaborative environment and elevate quality and safety in an efficient team.
Develop and communicate the vision and value system for the department. Model and communicate the vision within the group, the hospital, and community.
Develop, achieve, and encourage standards for: behavioral expectations, practice standards, and service. Ongoing communication of standards via group meetings, personal interactions, and mentoring.
Participates in medical staff committees, quality improvement efforts, and patient safety meetings.
Engage in contract discussions and negotiations for Providers;
Strategic forecasting for group: staffing, budget, and resource needs.
Reviewing and recommending staffing models and process improvement initiatives around resource utilization and patient throughput.
Set standard of care and quality for patients using current data; and ensure quality standard compliancy in on time starts, turn over time, block utilization and other standard quality and throughput metrics.
Oversee evaluation and management of clinical practices within the department;
Provide best practice data to other departments and specialties to achieve patient outcomes;
Review CV's. Assist with initial phone screen, lead discussions/interview at recruitment dinners.
Provide guidance and leadership for performance guidelines;
Implement annual reviews within section. Provide direct feedback on areas of strength and growth for department.
Handle physician behavior issues in partnership with triad as well as Regional Medical Director, VP, Ambulatory Care and Operations Director; and document appropriately.
COMPENSATION Medical Director: Physician shall provide 34 hours per month (minimum of 416 documented hours per year) as Perioperative Medical Director. Physician shall be paid $150.00 for each documented hour of Medical Director Services. Hours shall be documented on Hospital approved form (s) and provided to Program Manager at the end of each pay period.
