Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant (Accountant IV) to join our team in a full-time, day-shift capacity. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and analyze comprehensive financial records, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with hospital policies.
- Reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts with the general ledger to guarantee data consistency and integrity.
- Prepare and review journal entries, perform account analysis, and conduct variance analysis to support financial accuracy.
- Facilitate monthly closing processes, financial reporting, and audit preparations, working collaboratively with internal and external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Keep abreast of current developments in accounting practices through ongoing education, conferences, and professional literature.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven expertise in accounting, with strong proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience supporting internal and external audits and managing accounting close processes.
- Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Punctuality and consistent attendance are essential.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $75,000 $110,000 annually, based on experience (union position, non-negotiable rate).
