About the Position:

• Location: Dothan, Alabama – a convenient drive to Florida’s stunning Gulf Coast beaches
• Facility: Southeast Health, a 420-bed regional trauma center with Level II trauma designation and comprehensive subspecialty services
• Patient Volume: Approx. 60,000 annual emergency department visits, providing a high-acuity, challenging clinical environment
• Schedule: Consistent, equitable 6-7 day block per month, promoting work-life balance
• Team: All ED physicians are residency-trained and board-certified in Emergency Medicine, supported by a dedicated fast-track staffed with mid-level providers

• Provide high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population
• Manage acute medical and trauma cases with support from a highly equipped hospital system
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including neurology, cardiology, surgical services, and hospitalists
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards
• Engage in teaching and mentoring opportunities for residents and advanced practice providers (as applicable)

• Residency-trained in Emergency Medicine
• Board-certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)
• Active Alabama medical license or eligible to obtain one
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, efficient, and culturally sensitive patient care
