What You’ll Do
Provide direct medical care for hospitalized patients including admissions, daily rounding, and discharges
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions
Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care in a rural hospital setting
Collaborate with specialists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals
Coordinate comprehensive patient care plans and ensure smooth care transitions
Order, interpret, and act on lab tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies
Respond to medical emergencies, including codes and rapid response situations
Manage ventilator-dependent patients as needed
Participate in clinical rounds, interdisciplinary meetings, and hospital committees
Educate patients and families about diagnoses and follow-up care
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
What You Need
Medical license in Vermont or eligibility to obtain one
MD or DO degree; Board Certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine preferred
Minimum 2 years hospitalist experience preferred
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Ability to work autonomously within a team-focused environment
