Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a full-time Newborn Pediatric Hospitalist (MD/DO) to join its well-established pediatric hospitalist team at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada, offering an exciting opportunity to practice high-quality newborn hospital medicine in a collaborative, well-supported environment, with academic affiliation and comprehensive subspecialty support.
Job Description:
The provider will be responsible for:
- Performing newborn nursery examinations
- Performing circumcisions
- Participating in pediatric resident and medical student education
- Working alongside Pediatrix-affiliated pediatric intensivists, hospitalists, and neonatologists
- Collaborating with dedicated newborn nursing staff trained in transitional, newborn, and couplet care
- Leveraging Certified Lactation Specialist support available 365 days/year
- Practicing in a 58-bed Level 3 NICU with 24/7 in-house neonatology coverage
- Utilizing comprehensive pediatric subspecialty support, including pediatric surgery
- No delivery attendance required
- This is a permanent, full-time position that requires residency within the immediate local area. Relocation may be required.
