What You’ll Do

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based internal medicine clinical care to diverse adult patient populations
• Serve as core faculty for the Internal Medicine Health Equity Track, mentoring residents and students
• Supervise and teach residents in outpatient, inpatient, and community settings
• Integrate social determinants of health into patient care and clinical decision-making
• Engage in quality improvement projects, research, and scholarly activities
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including care managers, pharmacists, social workers, and community partners
• Lead efforts to reduce healthcare disparities and improve patient outcomes
• Maintain current expertise in internal medicine and health equity science
• Participate in clinical protocols, standards development, and departmental initiatives

What You Need
Required:

• Medical degree (MD or DO)
• Valid Texas Medical License or eligible for licensure
• Board Certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine
• Minimum of 3+ years of clinical experience in internal medicine
• Strong commitment to health equity and patient-centered care
• Excellent communication, leadership, and mentorship skills

Preferred:

• Experience in value-based care models and population health management
• Familiarity with medical education and resident supervision
• Engagement in quality improvement research
