Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – House Supervisor (Night Shift)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to serve as a House Supervisor for our nighttime team. This leadership role involves overseeing nursing operations across the facility, ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care in compliance with all regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a safe and supportive environment for residents and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the nursing services provided by nurses, LPNs, and nursing assistants to ensure comprehensive, resident-centered care.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and monitor resident responses accurately, recording all pertinent information in accordance with policy.
  • Review and update individualized care plans based on resident assessments, ensuring timely modifications to reflect changing needs.
  • Collaborate with physicians during rounds, assist with examinations and procedures, and facilitate laboratory specimen collection and delivery.
  • Oversee incident reports, document weight and vital signs accurately, and follow up on abnormal findings.
  • Manage resident transfers and notify families and department heads promptly, ensuring proper documentation and communication.
  • Assist during resident admissions and discharges, including post-mortem procedures, and ensure proper handling of resident belongings.
  • Promote resident participation in activities, fostering a positive and engaging environment.
  • Support staff development by participating in orientation, performance evaluations, and team conferences.
  • Monitor compliance with infection control practices and facility policies, providing ongoing training and oversight.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment, including inventory management and housekeeping tasks.
  • Assist with staffing adjustments to ensure adequate coverage and quality care delivery.
  • Contribute to quality assurance and improvement initiatives by collecting and analyzing data as directed.

Qualifications:
  • Valid and current Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania.
  • Proven knowledge of nursing theory, medical asepsis, body mechanics, and resident personal care.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems, preferably PCC.
  • Ability to interpret physician orders, document accurately, and exercise sound independent judgment in emergency situations.
  • Effective communication and observation skills, with a courteous and professional demeanor.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state regulations governing nursing care.
  • Commitment to resident-centered care and a collaborative team approach.

Working Conditions:
  • Night shift position with a competitive hourly rate of $32.00 and a $1.75 shift differential.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to pass employment physicals and maintain good physical health.
