Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team in Coos Bay. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of mammography exams with precision and compassion, utilizing advanced imaging techniques to ensure accurate diagnoses and optimal patient care. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality mammography exams in accordance with departmental protocols and safety standards.
- Apply principles, theories, and techniques of mammography imaging to produce reliable and diagnostic images.
- Assist radiologists and physicians in image interpretation and patient diagnosis.
- Maintain and calibrate mammography equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
- Provide compassionate patient care, explaining procedures and addressing patient concerns to ensure a comfortable experience.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of procedures and patient information.
- Adhere to confidentiality policies and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards, including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and communicate clearly with patients and staff.
Qualifications:
- Certified Mammography Technologist with current licensure.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is mandatory.
