Position Details

• Start Date: 2026-2027 School Year
• Employment Status: Part-Time/10 months- Not eligible for district benefits
• Schedule: Four (4) days a week/7.5 hours a day
• Daily Rate: $135/day

Position Summary

Lakeland Regional High School is seeking a reliable and dedicated Permanent Substitute Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The Permanent Substitute Teacher will provide daily classroom coverage for absent teachers and other instructional needs throughout the school year.

The successful candidate will work four (4) days per week on a regular schedule and will be assigned to various classrooms and instructional areas based on the needs of the school. The Permanent Substitute Teacher will follow lesson plans, provide instruction, maintain a positive and safe learning environment, and support the educational program of the District.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide classroom coverage for teachers who are absent.
• Follow lesson plans and deliver instruction as directed.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and positive classroom environment.
• Maintain classroom routines and expectations.
• Student Supervision as assigned
• Complete duties and responsibilities as assigned by the building assistant principal or designee.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other school personnel.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and school information.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Substitute Teacher Credential or appropriate New Jersey instructional teaching certificate required.
• Prior classroom or school experience preferred.
• Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students and staff.
• Successful completion of all required criminal history background checks and other pre-employment requirements.
