About the Role:
Plugz Electric is looking for a detail-oriented Permit Coordinator to join our growing team in Forest Lake, MN! In this role, you'll play a vital part in keeping our electrical projects moving forward by managing the permitting process from start to finish. Responsibilities:
- Prepare, submit, and track electrical permit applications with local municipalities and jurisdictions
- Coordinate with project managers, electricians, and inspectors to ensure timely permit approvals
- Maintain accurate records of permit statuses, approvals, and inspection schedules
- Communicate with city and county building departments to resolve permit issues or delays
- Schedule and confirm inspections with local authorities and field crews
- Ensure all permit documentation is compliant with local, state, and NEC codes
- Manage multiple active permits simultaneously across various project sites
Requirements:
- Prior experience in permit coordination, construction administration, or a related field preferred
- Familiarity with electrical or construction permitting processes is a strong plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with municipalities and internal teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or project management software
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping
- Ability to work independently and proactively problem-solve permit-related challenges
