Description

Overview:

The Permitting Inspection Technician will interact directly with the installation manager, client, client representatives, and county permitting offices. Responsibilities include submitting permit applications, scheduling inspections, and meeting with inspectors at time of inspection.

 

  Applicants must be willing to submit to a drug screening and criminal background check.  EOE/M/F/     V/D

 

  • Location: metro Washington, DC
  • Travel: Yes (30%)
  • Salary Range: $25.00/hour
Responsibilities:
  • Submit permitapplications
  • Communicate with the installation manager, sales, customer service, installation team, and client on permitting timeline
  • Provide updated permit status reports weekly
  • Stay up to date and knowledgeable regarding county submittal procedures, local electrical and fire code, and internal processes/procedures.
  • Make small repairs when need to pass inspections
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma/GED preferred
  • Technical/Trade/Vocational school certificate in electronics/electrical is desirable
  • Experience with MS Office applications; Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint
  • Strong communication skills/customer service focus
  • Experience reviewing floor plans and electrical drawings
  • Knowledge of Building, Fire, and Life Safety codes

Other Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be able to meet and maintain various certifications, licenses and/or registrations, in accordance with applicable state laws and as required by the electronic security regulations in the state (s) worked.
  • Must be willing to participate in and pass the company's pre-employment screening process including a background investigation and drug
  • Must continue to maintain a safe driving record and valid driver's license to fulfill any travel requirements of this position.
