Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in caregiving and a genuine desire to enhance the quality of life for our clients. This role involves working closely with individuals, including those with disabilities, to ensure their comfort, safety, and well-being in both home care and assisted living environments.


Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Help with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
• Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health status through patient observation.
• Assist clients with mobility, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Support clients in engaging in daily activities and social interactions.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.

Skills

• Proven experience in caregiving, particularly in home care or assisted living settings.
• Knowledge of patient care techniques and medication administration protocols.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities and varying needs.
• Strong observational skills for monitoring patient health and behavior.
• Excellent communication skills to interact compassionately with clients and their families.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting as required for client mobility assistance.
• Basic cooking skills to prepare healthy meals for clients.
• A nurturing attitude combined with patience and empathy towards clients.
