Job Description:

Make a Difference for Seniors Who Need You Most

Elara Caring is hiring Personal Care Aides to provide dedicated support to residents at Church Creek, a senior living and memory care community located at 1250 Central Park Blvd, Arlington Heights, IL.

This is a great opportunity for caregivers who enjoy senior care, memory care, and the consistency of working in one community setting while still providing meaningful, person-centered care.

This role is part of Elara Caring’s in-home care model, but all care for this assignment is provided onsite at Church Creek Senior Living and Memory Care Community. You may work alongside facility staff, nurses, hospice teams, family members, and other care partners while helping residents feel safe, comfortable, and cared for throughout the day.

Pay and Benefits

  • Hourly pay up to $18/hr
  • $1,300 sign-on bonus, subject to eligibility requirements
  • Daily pay available — work today, get paid tomorrow
  • Opportunities to build your schedule and weekly hours based on availability and community needs
  • Paid training and ongoing support
  • Career growth and advancement opportunities
  • Supportive team environment focused on your success
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits, plus a 401(k) match
  • A chance to do meaningful work every day

Why This Role Matters

Many residents may need help with daily routines, personal care, mobility, companionship, or memory care support. Some may live with dementia, Alzheimer’s, confusion, or changes in mood and behavior.

Your patience, calm presence, and compassion can make a difficult moment easier. Whether you are helping someone get ready for the day, offering reassurance, assisting with a meal, or simply being a steady and familiar face, your work helps residents maintain dignity, safety, and quality of life.

What You’ll Do

As a Personal Care Aide, you will help residents with daily care and comfort, including:

  • Bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene assistance
  • Mobility support, transfers, positioning, and walking assistance
  • Meal reminders, meal preparation, and feeding assistance when needed
  • Companionship, conversation, emotional support, and reassurance
  • Light housekeeping and maintaining a clean, safe environment
  • Observing and reporting changes in condition, behavior, or care needs
  • Supporting residents through patience, redirection, routine, and reassurance
  • Following each resident’s care plan and promoting dignity, independence, and safety
  • Communicating professionally with Elara Caring team members, facility staff, families, nurses, hospice teams, and other care partners

What This Type of Care Looks Like

Unlike some home care assignments, this setting gives caregivers the opportunity to work in one senior living community while supporting residents as part of a broader care team. The environment can be active and team-oriented, with shared spaces, scheduled routines, multiple care partners, and changing resident needs throughout the day.

The right person for this role is:

  • Dependable
  • Patient
  • Observant
  • Comfortable supporting older adults who may need repetition, reassurance, and calm redirection
  • Able to work as part of a larger care team while still making a personal impact

This is a strong fit for caregivers who enjoy senior care, memory care, and meaningful relationship-based work.

What is Required

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals preferred; professional or personal experience accepted
  • Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality
  • Comfort supporting seniors, including residents with memory care needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable transportation to the Church Creek community
  • Ability to lift, stand, bend, and assist residents as needed, up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work respectfully and professionally in a facility-based senior care environment

Join a team where your compassion, dedication, and care truly make a difference. Apply today and start building a meaningful career with Elara Caring.
