Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (subject to change)
The PCA/Paraprofessional supports special education services in alignment with district policies and federal/state guidelines. This role provides direct assistance to students with special needs, supports the implementation of IEPs, collaborates with teachers and specialists, assists with behavior intervention plans, documents student progress, and participates in problem‑solving and support teams.

Associate’s degree preferred
High school diploma or official transcript required (photo accepted)
GED is not accepted
ParaPro test is not recognized as a credential
Experience working with children (educational setting preferred)
Knowledge of special education practices or willingness to learn
Proficiency with multimedia and computer‑based learning tools
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
Support IEP implementation and individualized student goals
Assist with instructional activities and classroom learning
Use technology and resources to promote engagement and problem‑solving
Personalize support based on student needs
Monitor student growth and follow district assessment expectations
Manage student behavior in various settings
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to support student success
Participate in professional learning communities
Communicate clearly and professionally in all formats
Perform additional duties as assigned to maintain a safe, effective learning environment
