Description: As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide vital behavioral and academic support to help students succeed within their educational programs. Working closely with students to meet their unique needs, this role involves a combination of instructional assistance, health monitoring, and physical support, including feeding, toileting, and positioning.

Description: As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide vital behavioral and academic support to help students succeed within their educational programs. Working closely with students to meet their unique needs, this role involves a combination of instructional assistance, health monitoring, and physical support, including feeding, toileting, and positioning.
Responsibilities:
- Instructional Support: Provide instruction as directed by teachers in cognitive, gross/fine motor, feeding, and self-help skills.
- Safety & Health: Maintain student safety and be aware of environmental hazards; assist with braces and orthopedic equipment (lifting/positioning).
- Personal Care: Assist with personal hygiene, including washing hands/face, toileting, and changing diapers/clothing.
- Behavior Management: Monitor and control student behavior per established guidelines and positive intervention policies.
- Integration & Socialization: Prepare students for mainstreamed classes and assist in positive social interactions.
- Collaboration: Work cooperatively with case workers, general education teachers, and other staff to maintain records and track progress.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Skills: Knowledge of First Aid and CPR procedures and basic record-keeping.
- Experience: Previous relevant experience in a school or caregiving setting.
