Personal Care Assistant

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and attentive individual to provide high-quality personal support to clients in a respectful and dignified manner. In this role, you will help promote comfort, safety, independence, and overall well-being while assisting with daily living activities and routine care needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Provide support with mobility, transfers, positioning, and safe ambulation as needed.
• Help with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and monitoring hydration and nutrition.
• Support light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
• Offer companionship, emotional support, and respectful communication to encourage client comfort and engagement.
• Remind clients to take medications as directed, following established guidelines and care plans.
• Observe and document changes in client condition, behavior, or needs, and report concerns promptly.
• Follow care instructions, safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements at all times.
• Assist with errands, appointments, and other daily tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in personal care, home care, caregiving, or a similar support role preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully.
• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and committed to providing person-centered support.
• Ability to follow care plans, safety protocols, and instructions accurately.
• Physical ability to assist with mobility, lifting, standing, and other routine care tasks as required.
• Basic understanding of hygiene, safety, and infection control practices.
• Ability to maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
