Personal Care Assistant - PRN

Schedule: PRN, per program needs; availability required for one winter holiday, one summer holiday, and one weekend per month (Saturday and Sunday, or two Saturdays, or two Sundays).

Paid Training: Required training will take place during daytime hours (9:00 AM-5:00 PM) within the first week.

Earn $19.33/hour

Position Details

Our personal care assistants provide for the safety and welfare of all residents in an 8-bed Personal Care Home (PCH) setting, supporting their mental health and physical well-being. They carry out direct care responsibilities while participating in and following the treatment planning process.

Key Responsibilities

• Help develop and implement activities and other special projects designed to strengthen independent and community living skills and socialization/leisure time.
• Build on strengths to promote positive growth for the consumer.
• Engage consumers in appropriate life skills to develop abilities to live as independently as possible.
• Accompany consumers on trips outside the facilities for treatment, medical appointments, or any other appropriate activities.
