Personal Care Attendant (PCA) Job Description

A Personal Care Attendant (PCA) is a vital member of our team, providing essential support to individuals with special needs in our adult residential setting. As a PCA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents.

Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming • Assist residents with medication management and administration • Engage residents in activities that promote socialization, recreation, and personal growth • Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required • Current certification in Personal Care Attendant (PCA) or related field (e.g., CNA, HHA) • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
