The opportunity

Our client, an established plaintiff trial firm, is opening in Seattle and hiring the attorney who will build its Washington personal injury practice.

This is a ground-floor role in a new market. You'd be the firm's presence in Seattle — in the office, in the legal community, building the practice locally rather than servicing files remotely — with a dedicated paralegal hired alongside you and a national platform behind you.

Our client actively wants to hear from insurance defense attorneys. Not as a fallback — as a preference in the right candidate.

You already know how carriers evaluate files, where defense counsel finds leverage, which cases settle and which ones get tried. On the plaintiff side that's an advantage, not something to unlearn. If you've been weighing the jump and wondering whether your background travels, it does.

What you'll do

• Handle personal injury claims from intake through resolution — motor vehicle, trucking, premises liability, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death
• Take and defend depositions, argue motions, work with experts, mediate, arbitrate, and try cases
• Exercise real judgment on case selection and case valuation
• Build relationships in the Seattle legal community and establish the firm's presence in the market
• Work alongside a dedicated paralegal hired to support your caseload

What we're looking for

• 5+ years handling personal injury claims
• At least one year plaintiff-side. Candidates with entirely insurance defense backgrounds are considered case by case — apply anyway
• Real litigation reps. Depositions taken, motions argued, cases tried or arbitrated. We'll ask for a case list
• Admitted in Washington, or eligible and willing to be admitted
• Seattle metro, hybrid schedule
