The Law Offices of Steven H. Heisler, LLC is growing and we are seeking an
experienced personal injury paralegal to join our team
.
Responsibilities Include:
- Summarizing medical records/creating medical chronologies.
- Keeping files organized by monitoring case calendars; documenting actions, and inputting information into case management software (Needles).
- Extensive client contact to communicate case progression and status updates in a professional manner.
- Case development through filing claims, maintaining contact with adjusters, medical providers, other attorneys.
- Obtaining medical records and bills from providers as necessary.
- Verifying all outstanding balances to prepare file for settlement.
- Disputing health insurance and short-term disability liens.
- Ensuring PIP and/or MEDPAY is processed and exhausted.
- Preparing demand packages for settlement
