Personal Injury Paralegal (Contract)

Practice Area: Plaintiff‑Side Personal Injury / Civil Litigation

A fast‑paced and well‑established plaintiff‑side personal injury law firm is seeking a Personal Injury Paralegal to support attorneys with litigation and case management. This contract opportunity is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional who can jump into an active caseload and work collaboratively with a legal team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with preparing, organizing, and maintaining litigation files
  • Draft, format, and proofread pleadings, discovery responses, and legal correspondence
  • Manage incoming/outgoing mail and electronically file documents
  • Coordinate records collection (medical records, billing, police reports, insurance documents)
  • Schedule depositions, client meetings, and manage attorney calendars and deadlines
  • Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel
  • Assist with trial preparation, including exhibits and binders

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in personal injury, litigation support, or legal administration preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Familiarity with civil litigation procedures and legal terminology
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and legal case management systems
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining confidentiality

Additional Details:

  • Contract role covering a recent resignation
  • Background check may be required
  • No supervisory responsibilities
