Huff Insurance, a long‑standing family‑owned independent agency, is seeking an experienced Personal Lines Department Manager to lead our growing PL team. Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support Personal Lines Account Managers and CSRs
  
  
• Oversee daily workflow, task distribution, and service standards
  
  
• Manage renewals, endorsements, remarketing, and escalated client issues
  
  
• Improve processes, implement automation, and ensure workflow consistency
  
  
• Drive retention goals (target 92–95%) and support cross‑selling initiatives
  
  
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality control across the department
  
  
• Collaborate with agency leadership on strategy, reporting, and staffing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Personal Lines insurance experience
  
  
• 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role
  
  
• Active P&C license (MD or ability to obtain)
  
  
• Strong knowledge of PL coverage, underwriting, and carriers
  
  
• Experience with agency management systems (Applied Epic preferred)
  
  
• Excellent communication, coaching, and organizational skills
