- Someone who prefers building and running a book vs. strictly hunting for new business
What the Role Looks Like
- Handle and close a steady flow of inbound and referral-driven personal lines opportunities (primarily homeowners)
- Manage the full client lifecycle — quoting, placement, service, and follow-through
Work closely with existing real estate partners that generate consistent business - Identify cross-sell opportunities (home/auto bundling, etc.)
- Help build out workflows, processes, and overall structure for the personal lines side of the business
- Over time, expand relationships and contribute to continued growth
- This is a hands-on, owner/operator type role — not a pure producer position.

We’re working with a growing independent broker in Central NJ who is building out the personal lines side of the business and making a first hire in this area.
This is not a typical sales or service role.
The goal is to bring in someone who can take ownership of personal lines from the ground up — handling inbound business, managing clients, and building on an existing foundation of referral relationships.
Compensation
Base salary in the $40K–$50K range
Commission on both new and renewal business (25–30%)
