Responsibilities

  • Meet production goals by writing new policies & marketing to our current book of business.
  • Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, including financial & life products, in every customer interaction.
  • Ensure compliance by following all underwriting, rating, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Stay up to date with new products and services to provide accurate information.
  • Develop insurance quotes, conduct sales presentations, and close sales effectively.
  • Manage customer policy change requests promptly and accurately.
  • Secure all required trailing documents from customers.
  • Handle incoming claims calls and provide timely follow-up.
  • Complete Evidence of Insurance requests as needed.
  • Proactively ask for referrals and explain the referral program to customers.
  • Assist with generating insurance quotes and processing customer renewals.

Requirements

  • Proficiency to multi-task, follow-thru and follow-up.
  • Excellent Communication/interpersonal skills.

  • Prior Sales Experience.
  • Professional phone etiquette.
  • Follow through and exceed current and prospective client expectations.
  • Problem-Solving Capabilities.
  • Works well with other employees and is a team player with a positive attitude.
  • A Property & Casualty insurance license is required.
  • Successful sales background.
  • Ability to tactfully handle stressful and difficult situations.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Minimum 1 year prior sales experience preferred.
  • Previous work experience in sales, marketing, promotions or telemarketing.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing principles and strategies.
  • Bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish is beneficial.
  • Ability to take initiative, be proactive, and think outside the box.
  • Ability to adapt to change, learn new things quickly, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lead and motivate others, set a good example, and inspire others.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems, think critically, and make decisions quickly.
