Personal Lines Middle Market Account Manager

Responsible for the retention, upselling and cross selling of an assigned book of Personal Lines businessfor accounts under $15k in premium.  Must work independently and proactively with managing all aspects of account management and servicing, handling client questions, requests, and coverage review. 

Position is hybrid. For the right candidate, there is the possibility of fully remote. Candidate must reside in New England/Tri-State area and able to attend quarterly in person department meetings in Westport, CT.

Duties of aPersonal LinesMiddle MarketAccount Managerincludebut are not limited to:

• Responsible for marketing submissions to carriers, including application preparation, loss analysis, pre-underwriting of the risk for professional, quality new and renewal submissions.  

• Analyze and compare carrier quotes for proper coverage,termsand conditionsin order topresent the best coverage solutions thatmeetsthe individual client’s needs. 

• Execute policy issuance, obtain pertinent signedapplicationsand follow up for download in agency management system.

• Support sales and growthobjectivesof theagency through cross selling, upselling;andretainingexistingbusiness.

• Process incoming mail, faxes, emails, underwriting requests

• Processpolicy change requests,issueEvidence of Insurance, ID Cards/Binders, etc.

• Review Daily Communication Log and process changes/updates accordingly in the agency management system.

• Open Activities mustbereviewed daily,kept up todateand closed out accordingly. 

• UtilizeEPIC RenewalsManagertoaddress large rate increases on renewalsandconduct Renewal Reviews withalternate solutions to ensure renewals are being reviewed/remarketed 30+ days in advance.

• Establishandmaintaingood working relationships with companypartners.

• Prepare proposals and summaries of insurance as needed.

• Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management and document management systems.

• Handle all aspects of Personal Lines Property & Casualty Insurance (includingE&S Policies, NFIP Flood, Private Market Flood).  

• Participate in any special projects atmanagement’s request.

• Provideasuperiorlevel of customer serviceto existing and prospective clients.

• Maintain a Property & Casualty license along with keeping up with Continuing Education. 

• Must have strong written, oral and phone communication skills.

• Must have the ability to understand and analyze insurance coverage and policy forms.

EPICknowledgepreferred.

Working knowledgeofMicrosoft Office (Word,Excel,Outlook, MS Teams).

Working knowledge/experiencewith quotingin andservicing the following carrier platforms: Andover, Cincinnati, Hanover, Hartford, Mapfre,Narragansett, National General, Progressive, Safeco, Travelers, NFIP and Private Market Flood carriers and products.

Candidatemust have exceptional time management skills,be able toorganize, set, andmaintainprioritiesand multitaskin a fast-paced work environment.

Must excel with working independently and collaborativelyas needed.

Compensation: The base salary range for this role is $65,000 to $80,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on factors including location, skills, experience, and internal equity.
