Personal Trainer / Group Fitness Instructor
BASECK Training — Haddonfield, NJ
At BASECK, we call this role "Coach" — because you're not just running workouts, you're the reason our members stick with their goals. This role blends one-on-one personal training, group fitness instruction, and client coaching all in one: you'll lead our signature 30-minute full-body circuit classes while also building individual relationships with members. Every rep a client puts in also earns points toward a donation to one of six charity partners. It's fitness with a purpose, and we're looking for someone who wants to be part of delivering it.
Perks of Joining Our Team
- Structured schedule with consistent, predictable hours
- Commission-based incentives on memberships and product sales
- Ownership Development Program — a real path to grow within the business
- Ongoing training in sales, marketing, and leadership
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys the accountability side of coaching — the follow-up calls, the check-ins, the moment a client hits a goal they didn't think they could. You should be just as comfortable leading a group through a high-energy circuit class as you are coaching someone one-on-one or talking through a membership option. If you've got sales instincts, a coach's patience, and the presence to run a room, this role is built for you.
What You'll Do
Client Coaching & Results
- Lead group fitness circuit classes, keeping energy, form, and pacing on point for members at all levels
- Build ongoing relationships with members and hold them accountable to their fitness goals
- Guide new clients through onboarding, including metabolic assessments, 3D body scans, and nutrition support
- Deliver regular, proactive communication so members stay engaged and see progress
Sales & Business Growth
- Guide prospective members through studio tours and help them choose the right membership
- Sell memberships, apparel, and supplements, earning commission on top of base pay
- Support broader studio marketing and community-building efforts
Studio & Team Standards
- Keep the studio organized, clean, and running smoothly day to day
- Support the wider BASECK team and help uphold consistent service standards across staff
What Success Looks Like
- Retain 85%+ of assigned members month-over-month
- Average 3+ membership or product sales per week
- Maintain a 4.8+ average client satisfaction rating
What You'll Need
- Personal training certification through a nationally recognized organization (NASM, ACE, ACSM, or similar) — or willingness to obtain one, with preferred pricing available through NASM
- At least 1 year of experience in personal training, coaching, or a client-facing fitness role
- Prior experience in sales or membership-based business, with a track record of hitting targets
- Comfort and experience leading group fitness classes, not just one-on-one sessions
- Strong communication skills and comfort holding clients accountable
- Ability to work a structured Monday–Friday schedule with weekend availability, in a fast-paced studio environment
Compensation
$30.00–$35.00/hour on-target earnings (OTE), including base pay, bonus, and commission.
