Actual pay is determined by program, and business needs Overview The Personal Trainer will provide members and non-members with an exercise prescription in a friendly, motivating, and professional manner. Will conduct sessions in a safe environment. The personal trainer maintains supervision of clients throughout session.
What you will do
Trainer is genuinely friendly and concerned for the client's well-being. He/she interacts positively with clients before, during or after sessions and uses their name when appropriate.
Trainer teaches safe and effective sessions. The trainer refrains from using contraindicated movements and shows modifications throughout the session. Trainer is prepared to teach and maintains a level of fitness appropriate to demonstrate exercises.
Trainer maintains current CPR certification and is knowledgeable about emergency response chain. CBL's are complete. Instructor maintains national personal training certification.
Trainer is able to handle customer relation issues in a professional manner while not getting personally involved. The Trainer relays all information to manager or MOD and completes appropriate documentation.
Trainer attends bi-monthly staff meetings.

Education
High School Diploma or GED, (Preferred)
Experience
1 year Personal training experience (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
Certified Auto External Defibrillator (AED) - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire(Required)
Personal Fitness Trainer - Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) Upon Hire(Required) or
American Course Exercise Personal Trainer (ACE) - American Council on Exercise Upon Hire(Required) or
Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT) - National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Upon Hire(Required) or
Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) - National Academy of Sports Medicine Upon Hire(Required) or
Certified Personal Trainer - International Sports Sciences Association Upon Hire(Required)
