Overview
As a Personal Trainer at the YMCA, youll do more than guide workouts - youll help individuals build confidence, strength, and lifelong healthy habits. Youll work one-on-one or with small groups to provide expert instruction on strength training, free weights, and cardiovascular equipment, helping members and community participants achieve their personal wellness goals.

Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one and small group training sessions
- Develop customized fitness plans based on client goals, abilities, and needs
- Maintain safety by following YMCA and national certification guidelines
- Maintain attendance records and reports
- Maintain the cleanliness of the wellness area
- Be a team player with all staff
- Must notify appropriate staff of any unsafe conditions, needed repairs, complaints, accidents, or injuries immediately
Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Associates degree in health related field of study, or equivalent
- Bachelors degree preferred
- National accredited certification in Personal Training or related area
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Current license (as needed)
- Able to relate to people on all levels in a friendly and consistent manner
- Able to reflect a positive attitude
