In search of Personal Trainers - Louisville Area YMCA Position SummaryThis position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Interacts with new and existing members by providing specific individualized programs designed to meet his/her fitness needs and goals. Creates a welcoming environment for all members of all backgrounds and abilities.  Rate of Pay$15 - $20/hour QualificationsFour year degree in Exercise Science or related field and/or certification from a nationally recognized accreditation agency.CPR/AED certifications.Previous experience with diverse populations preferred.YMCA/ACE Foundations of Strength & Conditioning within 60 days of hiring.  ResponsibilitiesMaintains well-documented, accurate and pertinent information on each clientFollows through in a timely manner on initial communication with clientDesigns, maintains, and adjusts individual programs specific to the client's needs and wants in accordance with National YMCA guidelinesServes as a good role model by maintaining or improving their own personal fitness levelSupports Y programs, promotions, and eventsDeals with each situation by using the YMCA Character ValuesDevelops and maintains community collaborationsKnows and abides by Y policies and procedures*** Part-time staff receive complimentary memberships and discounted rates for child care and most programs.
