Personnel Scheduler
Full-Time | Skilled Nursing (Health Center)
Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay Range: $26-$32/hour

At Valle Verde, recently named "Best Continuing Care Retirement Community in the U.S. 2026" by Newsweek, we're looking for a highly organized and service-minded Personnel Scheduler to help ensure exceptional care for our residents every day.

In this vital role, you'll coordinate staffing schedules for our Skilled Nursing team, helping maintain appropriate coverage for CNAs and Nurses while supporting the smooth operation of our Health Center. You'll work closely with leaders and care teams to address schedule changes, fill open shifts, and ensure staffing levels align with resident care needs.

In addition to staffing coordination, you'll support medical supply inventory management and serve as an important communication hub between departments, helping keep daily operations running efficiently.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, multitasking, and making a meaningful impact behind the scenes. Because this role may occasionally provide direct resident support when needed, a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license is required or must be obtained within an agreed-upon timeframe after hire. Valle Verde is willing to train and support the right candidate in obtaining their CNA certification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage staffing schedules for CNAs and Nurses using the UKG Staffing platform.
  • Monitor staffing needs and proactively fill open shifts to maintain appropriate coverage.
  • Communicate scheduling updates, staffing changes, and conflicts with managers and care team members.
  • Maintain and update staffing records and scheduling information.
  • Coordinate medical supply inventory, distribution, and usage tracking.
  • Support a collaborative and resident-centered culture within the Health Center.

To be Successful in This Role, You Will Have

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
  • One year of scheduling, staffing coordination, healthcare administration, or related experience preferred.
  • CNA certification required, or willingness and ability to obtain CNA certification within a designated timeframe after hire.
  • Experience with UKG Scheduling or similar workforce management systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of staffing practices, scheduling principles, and California wage and hour regulations preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
