    About the Role

    Bailey Information Technology (BIT) is hiring experienced Personnel Security Adjudicators to support a federal agency's Office of Security in Washington, DC. You'll make suitability, fitness, and national security eligibility determinations, applying federal adjudicative standards to render clear, well-documented, and defensible decisions. This role is well-suited to a seasoned adjudicator who wants to bring their expertise to a mission-focused federal security office.

    What You'll Do

    • Conduct case reviews and adjudications in accordance with federal adjudicative guidelines.
    • Render preliminary determinations, final adjudicative decisions, and pre-appointment waiver recommendations.
    • Draft adjudication-related correspondence, including determination and suspension letters.
    • Apply continuous evaluation, continuous vetting, and emerging Trusted Workforce 2.0 processes.
    • Perform case-related administrative functions: documentation, data entry, and status tracking.
    • Maintain and grow proficiency in federal personnel security systems of record.

    What You Bring

    • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain federal national security/suitability eligibility.
    • High school diploma or GED (minimum).
    • Minimum 5 years of experience performing suitability, fitness, and/or national security personnel vetting/adjudications.
    • Demonstrated experience with final adjudicative decisions and adverse-action correspondence.
    • Familiarity with Trusted Workforce 2.0, continuous vetting, and/or continuous evaluation.
    • Documented completion of federal personnel security adjudicator training or equivalent continuing education.

    Nice to Have

    • Adjudication experience on an intelligence community or DoD-adjacent program.
    • Familiarity with DISS, eQIP, and/or RapBack.
    • Formal federal adjudicator certification.
