Personnel Security Specialist (Lead)
LOCATION: Washington, DC

Summary:

The Personnel Security Specialist (Lead) oversees and manages personnel security case management functions in Washington, DC. This position is responsible for assembling personnel security case files and recommending cases for final adjudication. The Lead Personnel Security Specialist will also provide supervision and leadership to other security specialists, ensuring compliance with all personnel security protocols. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four (4) years of personnel security experience and at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. DHS experience is preferred.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of four (4) years of personnel security experience.

  • Experience in personnel security case management, including the assembly of case files and recommending cases for adjudication.

  • At least one (1) year of supervisory experience in a personnel security role.

  • Strong knowledge of personnel security protocols, federal regulations, and security clearance processes.

  • Ability to manage, prioritize, and resolve complex personnel security issues.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DHS experience is a plus.

  • Familiarity with federal personnel security standards, including adjudication processes.

  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve security issues.

  • Proven ability to supervise and mentor a team of security specialists.

Base Salary Range: $50,000 – $100,000 / year. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and structural alignment. Individual pay is influenced by several factors, including the candidate's work location, relevant experience, skillset, and contract constraints.
