We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Pest Control Coordinator to lead a focused pest management improvement initiative within a food manufacturing facility. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a scientific, food safety, environmental health, quality, or manufacturing background who enjoys coordinating projects, solving problems, and driving measurable improvements.
In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison between the facility and its contracted pest control provider. You will coordinate pest prevention initiatives, conduct facility inspections, track corrective actions, and partner with multiple departments to strengthen the site's Integrated Pest Management, IPM, program.
Lead and coordinate facility pest control improvement plans and prevention initiatives
Serve as the primary liaison with the contracted pest control provider
Coordinate the installation and placement of additional traps and bait stations
Support exterior pest treatment programs and landscaping improvements designed to reduce pest pressure
Conduct routine inspections throughout the facility, including production areas, exterior grounds, trailer yards, docks, case rooms, and storage areas
Identify signs of pest activity, structural deficiencies, sanitation concerns, and pest exclusion opportunities
Track corrective actions and follow through with responsible teams to ensure timely completion
Partner closely with Quality, Maintenance, Operations, Sanitation, and external pest control professionals
Maintain strong accountability for open action items, project milestones, and program effectiveness
Support continuous improvement of the facility's IPM program
Help strengthen food safety, quality compliance, and audit readiness
Communicate findings, priorities, and required actions effectively across multiple stakeholders
Minimum 1 year of relevant professional experience
Scientific, food safety, environmental health, quality, manufacturing, or related background preferred
Food manufacturing or food production experience is highly desirable
Strong project coordination and project management skills
Ability to conduct detailed facility inspections and identify potential risks or deficiencies
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and action items
Results-driven approach with excellent follow-through
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to influence cross-functional teams and hold stakeholders accountable for corrective actions
Comfortable working throughout an active food manufacturing environment, including production, warehouse, dock, yard, and exterior areas
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a high-impact facility improvement initiative while gaining valuable experience in Integrated Pest Management, food safety, quality systems, compliance, and manufacturing operations. The assignment also has the potential to extend for up to 12 months, depending on project completion.
