Job Summary
Potomac Pest and Termite Control is a family owned, locally trust pest management company seeking a reliable, motivated Pest Control Technician to join our growing team. No previous pest control experience is required. We provide on the job training. This is a great company for someone who enjoys hands-on works, problem solving and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect the interior and exterior of buildings and the surrounding environment to identify pest activity, entry. points and conducive conditions
- Perform residential and commercial pest control services according to company standards and state regulations
- Determine the types of pests and best possible treatment options
- Implement various pest control methods to treat the areas
- Accurately complete service reports, documentation and recommendations
- Maintain service vehicle, tools and equipment in clean and working condition
- Follow all safety protocols, company procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Communicate clearly with office staff, regarding schedules, findings and customer needs
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Pest Control Technician or in a similar position preferred but NOT required
- High school diploma/GED preferred
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including standing for extended periods and crawling in small spaces
- MUST be comfortable with climbing on roofs and ladders
- MUST have a clean driving record
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols when dealing with potentially hazardous materials
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to maintain detailed records of payment and chemicals used
